Wilderness Adventure Camps

Spend a week away from the civilized world and gain a new understanding of God and His creation.   Two Christian adults, seasoned and trained in safe wilderness leadership, will provide direction for each outing.  Emphasis is placed on positive group relationships and individual opportunity to set goals and increase knowledge and skill.  All participants can expect to camp in tents for the week.  Each trip is co-ed unless otherwise marked, and to ensure individual attention and low environmental impact, limited to seven campers.  Beaver Camp provides all necessary food and camping equipment, except sleeping bags.  

 

Rock Climbing -$315.00   top

 

Spending ample time rock climbing and rappelling, this group will gain hands on learning including knot tying, belaying, belay setups and safe climbing techniques on a variety of rock types. The trip will also include time for hiking and learning additional outdoor skills.   

Ages 14-18, July 27-August 1, 2008.  

 

 

 

Beaver River Canoe - $315.00   top

This trip will travel along lengths of the Beaver River and explore some of the bodies of water that it connects. Participants can expect to learn basic canoeing and wilderness camping skills; making this an excellent trip for those new to wilderness camping.

Fishing - $315.00   top

If you love to fish, this week is for you.  You can expect to travel to some of the best fishing spots in the area, camp at nearby sites, learn canoeing and camping skills and much more.  Participants will need to provide their own tackle.

Mountain Bike - $345.00   top 

Join this adventurous group in exploring miles of wilderness trails in the Adirondacks.  The group will operate from base camps at remote lakes and rivers.  Spend your days riding with only day gear and taking time for swimming, rappelling and learning other wilderness skills.  The camp includes a one-day lift pass for hours of down hill thrills at Whiteface Mountain.  Bikes with full or front suspension are recommended.  Contact camp for bike rental arrangements, if needed.   

        Ages 14-18, August 3-8, 2008. 

 

High Peaks - $315.00   top 

See the world from the mountaintops!  In addition to the spectacular views from some of the Adirondack’s highest peaks; this group will enjoy wilderness camping, exploring, swimming in mountain lakes and a day spent rock climbing and rappelling, as well as the opportunity to learn low impact camping skills and map and compass travel.

Stillwater Canoe - $315.00   top  

This trip will spend time canoeing, exploring, and swimming along the limitless shoreline and natural sand beaches of Stillwater Reservoir.  This is a good first time experience to learn and practice canoeing and camping skills.  Stillwater I is an all guys trip and Stillwater II is for girls only.

        Stillwater I - Guys Only.  Ages 11-13, July 27-August 1, 2008.  

        Stillwater II - Girls Only.  Ages 11-13, August 10-15, 2008.  

 

St Regis Canoe - $315.00   top  

Explore the St. Regis Wilderness Canoe Area near Saranac Lake, marked by short portages joining a chain of lakes nestled among Adirondack peaks.  You can expect to master canoeing skills, learn low impact camping skills, climb area peaks, and spend a day rock climbing and rappelling.
